Alumni Advisory Council in Health Communication

The Dr. Anne S. Gabbard-Alley Scholarship Endowment for Graduate Studies in Health Communication was initiated in 2007 by members of the Alumni Advisory Council in Health Communication to honor Dr. Anne S. Gabbard-Alley. To be eligible, a student must have met all requirements to be accepted into the Masters of Arts in Communication and Advocacy program, demonstrated excellence as an undergraduate, provide two faculty recommendations from their undergraduate school and demonstrate a desire to pursue scholarship in the concentration of Health Communication.
Once a student is named a Gabbard-Alley Scholar, this scholarship may be renewed for one year as long as the recipient remains in good standing with the program and the university. The selection of Gabbard-Alley Scholars will be made in accordance with the admission process to the Masters of Arts in Communication and Advocacy program. Beyond the above criteria, the appointment of Gabbard-Alley Scholars will follow the university’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
