Anges Mason Price

This scholarship was established by Agnes Mason Price (‘35) in December 2001. Agnes grew up in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. She graduated with a B.S. degree in general home economics and met her husband, J. William Price, shortly after graduation in Madison, Virginia. He joined the Air Force, and Agnes spent the 1940’s traveling to Norway, Sweden and Cuba. In 1947 William Price founded Madison Wood Preservers, a treated lumber company, in Madison, VA. William Price died in 1990 and Agnes passed away in July 2014. She was very active in her community. She had two children, two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild, all of whom also live in the Madison, VA area.
