Ann E. Walker

The Demetric Walker Memorial Scholarship was established in 2001 by Irving and Ann Walker in memory of their son, Demetric ‘00. This scholarship is intended to benefit a James Madison University undergraduate student majoring in history who is a United States citizen. The recipient will have financial need and hold a GPA of at least a 3.0 or its equivalent. High school records will demonstrate GPA of high school senior matriculating to JMU.

Involvement in service activities, as established on the application, will be a consideration. The application process will include a written essay examining how the study of history helps them better understand the relationship between religion and society. The recipient will continue to receive the scholarship as long as they remain active, full-time students at JMU and continue to meet the scholarship requirements.
