Barbara Pamplin Shell ('49)

Barbara Pamplin Shell (‘49) established this scholarship in 2015. Barbara graduated from the College of Science and Mathematics with a BS in Chemistry. As a student, she was involved with Sigma Sigma Sigma. Barbara was awarded a Bluestone Medallion and made a career for herself in both education and law, both in the Commonwealth. Before her passing, she was a member of both the Duke Club and University Advancement President’s Council. Barbara enjoyed golfing and being involved with her church. This endowment will provide annual financial resources to support one or more deserving undergraduate Chemistry students who demonstrate financial need.
