Beverly Y. ('68) and Leon P. Harris

Beverly Y. (’68) and Leon P. Harris established this gift in 2021. Beverly graduated from the College of Education with a BS in Education. She spent several years teaching in the Waynesboro Schools. She enjoys gardening. She and Leon are parents to two Dukes and grandparents to a Duke. The Valley Scholars Program is a University initiative designed to remove the financial barriers that otherwise might prevent promising students in the Shenandoah Valley with high financial need from attending college.
