The Luis De Souza Pinto 02 Memorial Scholarship Endowment for the Mens Rugby Football Club at James Madison University was initiated in 2009 by Brian T. Rainey 04. Brian initiated this scholarship on behalf of the alumni members of the Mens Rugby Football Club and the friends and family of Luis De Souza Pinto 02 – all who have collectivelymade philanthropic gifts to this scholarship endowment. This endowment is created in memory of Luis De Souza Pinto 02.

Luis passion for life and rugby was apparent in everything he did. His knowledge of rugby and the cultural diversity he brought to James Madison University – both during his undergraduate years and as an alumnus – inspired everyone he knew.
