The Elizabeth and Melvin Eldridge Scholarship was established in 1988 by Carol Eldridge Coburn (’62) and William B. Eubank to recognize the positive influence, encouragement, and support given to her while she was a student at Madison College by her parents, Elizabeth and Melvin Coburn. Carol graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Her son, William, graduated from James Madison University in 1988.

The Eldridge Scholarship is awarded to rising seniors with a major in any College of Business program at James Madison University. Recipients shall have a minimum grade point average of 2.5. Students must demonstrate leadership and citizenship capabilities. Recipients are chosen by a committee appointed by the Dean of the College of Business.
