Dr. Alexander L. and Dr. Joanne V. Gabbin

Dr. Alexander L. and Dr. Joanne V. Gabbin established this scholarship in 1989. Dr. Alexander Gabbin is a professor in the College of Business. He has been honored for his professorship of accounting and won the JMU Distinguished Teacher Award in 2005. His wife, Dr. Joanne Gabbin is the retired Executive Director of the Furious Flower Poetry Center. She has been honored with two Be the Change awards, the JMUAA Distinguished Faculty Award, and with the title of faculty emeritus. This scholarship is awarded to a student in the Honors of College and College of Business.
