Drs. Marilou M. ('80) and George C. Johnson

Drs. Marilou M. (‘80) and George C. Johnson established this scholarship in2005. Dr. Marilou graduated from the College of Arts and Letters with a BS in Communications. As a student, she was involved with the Dance Company. She and her husband have made careers for themselves. Both have been awarded the title of faculty emeritus and Marilou has been featured in Madison Magazine and won two Distinguished Alumni Awards. The two are parents are to two Dukes. They created this scholarship in honor of Marilou’s aunt, Blanche Garrett who attended Harrisonburg Normal and Industrial School for Women. The scholarship is for a rising sophomore pursuing a degree within the School of Media Arts and Design.
