Inez, Patterson, and Ralph Roop and Nancie Roop Kennedy

Ralph and Inez (‘35) Roop created this scholarship in 1980. The scholarship is in honor of Inez’ parents, Charles and Bertha Greybeal. Inez graduated from the State Teachers College at Harrisonburg with a double major in English and History in 1935. She was a schoolteacher in Virginia for many years. Inez’s involvement with James Madison University was lifelong. She served on the Alumni Board of Directors, the Board of Visitors, and was a recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Service Award.
