J. French Chapman

J. French Chapman established this scholarship in 2009. He created it in honor of his late wife, Carolyn M. Chapman (‘61). Carolyn graduated from the College of Education with a BA in Elementary Education. As a student, Carolyn was involved in Sigma Sigma Sigma and the Student Government Association. She also was Miss Madison and won a Who’s Who Award in 1960. Upon graduation, Carolyn taught in Portsmouth and Fairfax County. This gift, in honor of Carolyn, supports students with a declared education major.
