Jane "Gibbie" (Parrish) and Alexander "Sandy" B. Berry III

The Alexander B. Berry Jr./Linwood G. Parrish Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established in 1989 by Jane “Gibbie” Parrish Berry (’61) and her husband, Alexander “Sandy” B. Berry III, in honor of her father, Linwood G. Parrish, and his father, the Reverend Alexander B. Berry Jr.
The purpose of the gift is to provide support to those students who could not attend college without financial assistance. Recipients shall be rising sophomores or higher, shall have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 and shall be majoring in any College of Business program. They shall have demonstrated leadership and citizenship capabilities. Choice of recipients shall be based initially on financial need and second on recommendation of faculty and friends of the College of Business.
