Kay A. Harter (’84) established this scholarship in 1992. She created the gift in honor of her husband, Dr. Carl L. Harter. Kay graduated from the College of Business with her MBA in Business Administration. She taught Spanish in the Valley before passing in 2013. Dr. Carl Harter worked at JMU. Dr. Harter served as the Associate Dean of the College of Letters and Sciences.
