Lorraine Strickler, and classmates from the Class of 1952

Robert “Twig” Strickler and his wife, Lorraine initiated the Alumni Class of 1952 Endowed Scholarship in December 1995. Their initial gift provided the basis for the establishment of the endowed scholarship.

Robert and Lorraine, were recognized with the Individual Philanthropist award in 2014: “They’ve given their time, energy and wisdom, in addition to money to help organizations they believed in.” The couple had five children, and raised them to believe that helping their community was important. Mr. Strickler passed May 28, 2019. Lorraine resides in Rockingham, VA
