Marlene and Peter Coe in honor of their daughter Gillian Coe Schultz ('99)

The Marlene and Peter Coe Visual & Performing Arts Scholarship was established by in December 1997 by Marlene and Peter Coe in honor of their daughter Gillian Trask Coe (’99). Ms. Gillian Trask Coe received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the College of Visual and Performing Arts in 1999 majoring in Art. Gillian was a participant in the Madisonians Show Choir while a student a James Madison University. She also participated in Ghana Study Abroad and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega.

Marlene and Peter Coe were members of the Parents Council and the Centennial Commission. Mr. Coe was the President and CEO of Aerial Machine & Tool Corporation, which specializes in the design and manufacture of aircraft personnel restraint and safety systems, rescue products and rapid deployment equipment. Mr. Coe passed away in August 2017. The Marlene and Peter Coe Visual & Performing Arts Scholarship is currently stewarded by Marlene and Gillian Coe.
