The Carl L. Harter Scholarship was established in 1992 by Mrs. Kay A. Harter in memory of her husband Dr. Carl Harter, associate dean of the College of Letters and Sciences. The purpose of the gift is to provide financial support to students majoring in anthropology or sociology.
