Robert Martin

This scholarship endowment was established by Robert Martin (‘88) in memory of his grandparents, Fern and George M. Terry, in appreciation of their spirit of philanthropy, particularly toward the furtherance of education, which his grandfather demonstrated throughout his life. It will provide support for students in the International Business Program during their study abroad experience. As an undergraduate at James Madison University in the International Business Program, Robert Martin (’88) had the opportunity to study in Spain as a junior and continues to view his study abroad as the most significant educational experience he had as a student. Now, with studying abroad for at least one semester a required component of the International Business Program, this endowment is intended to provide a special resource to facilitate the study abroad experience for students who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need.
