An endowed scholarship established by John J. (’83) and Judith L. H. (’87) Gallagher to honor the Donors’ parents and to inspire future teachers in the College of Education.

Through this scholarship, the Donors intend to provide financial resources to an incoming freshman covering up to in-state tuition and fees. Scholarship recipients must major in any one of the many concentrations in the College of Education and will be required to submit an essay to qualify for consideration. The scholarship will be renewable for up to three years provided the student remains an Education major and maintains a GPA of 3.25. The selection of the Gallagher Scholar will follow the College of Education scholarship selection process at the discretion of the Dean of the College of Education and follow the University’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
