Maylea Beasley Memorial Scholarship Endowment

An endowed scholarship established by Frank T. “Buddy” (’93) and Kathy Gadams honoring the memory of Maylea Beasley, a James Madison University freshman from Virginia Beach who tragically lost her life in an accident in November 2020.

The Maylea Beasley Scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman with preference to a graduating senior from First Colonial High School who is determined to have financial need. In a year when a student from First Colonial High School does not qualify, another student from the Virginia Beach area may be considered. Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships and follow the University’s guidelines for awarding of scholarships."
