Barry DuVal Public Service Fellowship Endowment in the Department of Political Science

An endowed fellowship established by the McLeskey Family Foundation that will provide funds to support students engaged in public service and public policy internships. To be named a DuVal Public Service Fellow, a student must be:

1.) A Political Science or Public Policy and Administration major in the Department of Political Science at JMU or a student in another JMU major with a demonstrated interest in a public service career

2.) A junior with plans to graduate in May or December of the following academic year

3.) In good standing with an overall and major GPA of 3.0 or higher

4.) Admitted into an approved summer public service or public policy internship program in Virginia

The selection of the DuVal Public Service Fellow(s) will be made each year by the Fellowship Selection Committee in the Department of Political Science, in accordance with guidelines established by the Department Chair.
