An endowed scholarship established by the following members of the Spindel Family: Jonathan H. Spindel, Edward L. Spindel, Michael R. Spindel, David A. Spindel, Herbert Spindel and Bernard B. Spindel.
The Spindel Family created this scholarship in celebration of Murray Spindel’s 80th birthday and in recognition of his life-long career as an educator. The family (and friends) of Murray Spindel wish to honor Murray Spindel by helping to make education more affordable for those who would choose teaching as a profession.
Through this scholarship, funds will be provided annually to an outstanding undergraduate student who has declared a major in the College of Education and is engaged in the study of Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics education. The selection of a student as a Murray Spindel Scholar will be made at the discretion of the Dean of the College of Education, or designee, following the University’s guidelines for awarding scholarships.
