Short Pump Ruritan/Civic Foundation, Inc. Scholarship Endowment

An endowed scholarship established by the Short Pump Ruritan/Civic Foundation, Inc. to support a scholarship for a student who must be a primary resident of the Short Pump, Virginia area, defined as the geographic area whose residents are served at the time of this agreement by the following high schools: Douglas S. Freeman; J.R. Tucker; Mills Godwin; Deep Run; Glen Allen; and Hermitage. Students from future new schools serving this region, residents of this region who attended a non-public school, were home-schooled and adult students from the region will be eligible for the award. The recipients will be enrolled full time as an undergraduate or graduate student and be in good standing with the university. Primary consideration will be given to students who demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Once a student is named a Short Pump Ruritan/Civic Foundation Scholar, this scholarship may be renewed, as long as the recipient meets the above mentioned criteria. The Short Pump Ruritan/Civic Foundation, Inc. Scholarship will be awarded to up to two students per academic year.
