James D. Fugit ’94 General Endowment in Military Science-Scholarship
An endowment established by James D. Fugit ’94 to honor the four years Mr. Fugit was in the James Madison University ROTC Program, and the impact that the ROTC Program and the US Army have had on his life and his success.
This endowment will provide funds for a Bridge Scholarship for Qualified non-Scholarship Cadets for scholarship(s) per semester to a student enrolled and attending ROTC courses at James Madison University for the entire semester and maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.25. To qualify as a Fugit Scholar, the student must be a) fully eligible (academically, medically, and physically) for an Army ROTC scholarship, and b) have completed and submitted an ROTC scholarship application to the US Army in the semester the scholarship is being applied, and c) the student may not be receiving payments from an ROTC scholarship for the semester they were issued a Bridge Scholarship. The Bridge Scholarship is renewable for one semester, but renewal is not automatic or required, and Cadets must remain qualified for service in the US Army.
