Malcolm G. Lane Scholarship Endowment for Computer Science

An endowed scholarship established by Professor Malcolm G. and Maureen M. Lane, the Malcolm G. Lane Scholarship Endowment for Computer Science will provide financial resources annually to one or more students who will be in their junior or senior year of undergraduate studies. To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must (a) have a declared major in Computer Science; and (b) have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) at James Madison University after at least two semesters of study (at the time the student is considered for this scholarship) The selection of Malcolm G. Lane Scholars shall be made in a manner determined at the discretion of the department head for Computer Science (or its successor department) in the College of Integrated Science and Technology (or its successor college). Beyond the above criteria, the appointment of a student to receive this scholarship shall follow the University’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships. In all cases, once a student is appointed a Lane Scholar in their junior year of undergraduate study, the scholarship may be renewed for their senior year of study, provided that the student remains a full-time student in good standing with the University.
