Deborah Warnaar and Brian F. Bauer Chemistry Scholarship

An annual scholarship established by Deborah L. Warnaar and Brian F. Bauer, honoring Dr. Warnaar’s retirement from twenty-five years of teaching Chemistry at James Madison University.

This scholarship will be awarded to one or more current and/or incoming freshmen who are majoring in Chemistry or Biophysical Chemistry and demonstrate adversity or a life changing event. All applicants must submit an essay of 500-700 words describing the adversity or life changing event that they are experiencing. Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the Academic Unit Head of the Chemistry Department, in consultation with the Chemistry Faculty, and follow the University’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
