Dr. T. Michael Clayton ('82) Scholarship for Academic Excellence in the College of Business

An endowed scholarship established by Dr. T. Michael Clayton. To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be an incoming freshman who demonstrates high academic achievement and an intention to pursue a major in the College of Business. Once a student is named a Clayton Scholar, this scholarship may be renewed for up to three consecutive years if the recipient remains a student within the College of Business and maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.

If either stipulation is not met, a new recipient will be selected. Selection of recipients will be made in a manner determined at the discretion of the Dean for the College of Business. Financial need is not a consideration in the selection of a Clayton Scholar. Beyond the above criteria, the appointment of Clayton Scholars shall follow the University’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
