Dr. Roddy V. Amenta Memorial Scholarship Endowment

An endowed scholarship established from an endeavor by friends, colleagues and fellow faculty members that honors and memorializes a special person and an outstanding individual, Dr. Roddy V. Amenta.

At the time of Roddy’s passing, he had recently retired as a professor in the Department of Environmental Science Roddy played a critical role in the development of the department and was a strong voice for our students.

This scholarship endowment will provide financial resources annually for one or more outstanding undergraduate student scholars in the Department of Geology and Environmental Science. To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) after at least four semesters of study. The selection of Roddy Amenta Scholar(s) will be made in a manner determined at the discretion of the Head of the Department of Geology and Environmental Science.
