Dr. J. Wilbert Chappell Chemistry Scholarship/Award

An endowed Chemistry scholarship and award established on October 26, 1990 in memory of Dr. J. Wilbert Chappell. The scholarship/award will be at least $500/$50, respectively. The Chemistry Department may increase the amount granted based on expendable earnings made available each year. Expendable earnings in excess of the annual scholarship/award will revert back to the endowment principal. One or more recipients may be recommended by the Chemistry department to the JMU Financial Aid office. Recipient(s) should meet criteria established by the Chemistry department and the Financial Aid office.
