An endowed scholarship established by the Bell Family through the Bell Charitable Remainder Unitrust. The purpose of this gift is to honor the memory of Francis and Isabelle M. Bell.

This scholarship will provide the financial resources annually for one or more deserving students with a good work ethic in the College of Business. It is the Donor’s intent that this scholarship will always be awarded for student academic scholarships and is not intended to be a competitive College of Business award. To qualify, Bell Scholars must:

- be Virginia residents; - be sophomores, juniors or seniors in good academic standing; - have declared the Finance or Quantitative Finance Major; and - demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Bell Scholars will be selected at the discretion of the Academic Unit Head (AUH) for the Department of Finance and Business Law. The AUH will have the discretion to make one or multiple awards in any given year and will also have the discretion to name a merit based Bell Scholar if there are no eligible need-based students within a given year. This scholarship is renewable as long as the student remains eligible.
