Moran Family Scholarship

An endowed scholarship established by John G. and Carol Moran to support a scholarship to benefit a JMU student from the state of Maryland. The recipient must have and maintain a minimum 2.75 grade point average. The recipient will be selected as an incoming freshman (from Maryland with a high school grade point average of at lest 2.75) and will continue to receive this scholarship as long as they remain an active, full time student at JMU and continue to meet the scholarship requirements or graduates, a new incoming freshman student will be selected based on the established criteria. If in the future, JMU no longer enrolls any students from the state of Maryland, or no students from the state of Maryland meet the merit criteria, then this fund may be used to assist any JMU student.
