Anne L. Collins ’67 Scholarship Endowment in History in the College of Arts and Letters

A scholarship endowment established with a gift from Anne L. Collins ’67.

This scholarship will provide financial resources annually to help recruit an outstanding prospective freshman with a declared interest in becoming a History major and whose primary residence is outside the Commonwealth of Virginia. If, in any given year, there are no outstanding incoming freshmen whose primary residence is outside of Virginia with a declared interest in majoring in History, the Academic Unit Head of History will select an incoming freshman Virginia resident with a declared major of History to receive the Collins award. The scholarship is renewable up to three years as long as the recipient is in good standing with the University and remains a History major. The Collins Scholarship will be awarded in a manner determined by the Academic Unit Head of History, in consultation with the Office of Admissions, and will follow the University’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships at the time the gift is received.
