Carroll E. Smith Endowed Scholarship in Accounting
An endowed scholarship established by Dale E. Smith ’89 to honor Mr. Smith’s father. To qualify as a Carroll E. Smith Accounting Scholar, the student recipient must be a junior or senior in good academic standing and majoring in Accounting. The preferences are 1) a student from a military family, first-generation or 2) a need-based student. If there are no students that fit the additional criteria preferences, a qualifying student majoring in Accounting is acceptable. The scholarship is renewable. The appointment of a Carroll E. Smith Accounting Scholar will be made in a manner determined by the Director of the School of Accounting in consultation with the Dean of the College of Business. Beyond these criteria, the selection of the scholarship recipients will follow the University’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
