Karyn Gunther Smith Scholarship Endowment in Art in the College of Visual and Performing Arts

An endowed scholarship established by Thomas A. Dingledine. The purpose of the gift is to create the Karyn Gunther Smith Scholarship Endowment in Art in the College of Visual and Performing Arts in honor of Karyn Gunther Smith . To be eligible, a student must be a rising senior majoring in art who demonstrates financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Recipients will be selected in a manner determined at the discretion of the Dean for the College of Visual and Performing Arts in consultation with the Associate Dean of the College and the Director of the School of Art, Design and Art History. Annual scholarship amount of at least $2,000 should be awarded to a deserving student (Note: It is the Donor’s hope that as the endowment grows over time awards can be made to rising juniors as well as seniors.)
