Andrew Meadows Righter '85 & Lisa Marie Righter'85 Scholarship Endowment

An endowed scholarship established Andrew Meadows Righter ’85 and Lisa Marie Righter ’85 to support a merit-based scholarship. Funds will be provided annually to an outstanding undergraduate student in their sophomore, junior or senior year of study who meets the following selection criteria: (1) demonstrate a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale), (2) demonstrate financial need, as determined by the university’s Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships. Preference will be given to students who have experienced a personal challenge during their college career, such as a parent or guardian losing a job or a student losing a parent or guardian.

Once appointed as a Righter Scholar, a student must maintain a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average to remain eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship may be renewed – and, therefore, a student may receive the Righter Scholarship for as many as three academic years, including the first year in which it is received.
