James Acosta ('93) Scholarship for Excellence in Media

An Annual Scholarship established by James Acosta (’93). This scholarship is non-renewable.

Students must be majors in the School of Media Arts and Design. Excellence in Media will be determined by faculty evaluation of the student’s body of work in media, with preference given to students with a GPA of 3.00 or higher. Preference will also be given to students who demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. Acosta Scholarship awards will be administered by the Director for the School of Media Arts and Design.

The scholarship is nonrenewable and will be awarded to one student each year beginning with academic year 2022-2023 and continuing through academic year 2027-2028. Beyond this criteria, the selection of recipients will follow the University’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
