Dr. John W. Wayland Scholarship Endowment

An endowed scholarship established by Elizabeth Rose Wayland Seaver (‘58) and Charles W. Seaver in memory of her grandfather, Dr. John W. Wayland, to support a scholarship for recipients who must meet the following criteria:

-Be a native of the Commonwealth of Virginia in good standing with the university
-Be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in their 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th year at James Madison University
-Demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships

Once a student is named a Wayland Scholar, this scholarship may be renewed for up to three consecutive years provided that the recipient fulfills the criteria outlined above.
