Honors Advisory Board Scholarship

An endowed scholarship established by the JMU Honors Advisory Board (now the Honors Advisory Council).

This scholarship is intended to benefit an entering freshman. The scholarship is to be extended to the applicant for the purpose of affecting their decision to attend James Madison University. Therefore, an early offer is required. The student must be a member of the JMU Honors College and meet all of its stated criteria. Each year a new entering freshman will be selected. Beyond these criteria, scholarships will be awarded in a manner determined by the Dean of the Honors College.

If in the future, the University no longer enrolls students in the Honors College or no longer offers the curriculum or component of study supported by this endowment or no students meet the merit criteria, this fund may be used to assist any JMU student. Such a decision will be considered carefully by both the University and the James Madison University Foundation, Inc.
