Lee Congdon Scholarship Endowment in History

An endowed scholarship established by Michael Szymanski (’77) in honor of his former professor and advisor, Dr. Lee Congdon. Mr. Szymanski wishes to honor Dr. Congdon by establishing an endowment in his name to further scholarly achievement in a course of studies where the professor devoted his life, energy and passion. As to the selection of the “Congdon Scholar” to receive tuition awards, the appointment shall be made each year according to the following criteria:

-Student must be a rising junior or senior history major
-Student must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA
-Scholarship is renewable from junior to senior year, but it is not a requirement
-Award will be determined by the Academic Unit Head in the Department of History
