Jay B. Keyser '79 Endowment for Scholarships

An endowed scholarship established by Jay B. Keyser ’79. The scholarship shall provide assistance to deserving students with financial need. It will support students in the College of Business. Funds will be provided annually to an outstanding undergraduate student scholar who demonstrates a need for financial assistance, as determined by the University’s Office of Financial Aid. The appointment of a student as a Keyser Scholar shall follow the University’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships; provided, however, that the following additional criteria shall be a part of the determination process.

Specifically: To be eligible for this scholarship award, a student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Each year scholarship funds will be provided to one outstanding student scholar, renewable for up to three additional academic years, but only if the appointed student maintains a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The scholarship shall be limited to one student at a time, so that it may reduce the financial need of each Keyser Scholar up to the full of amount of an academic year’s tuition and fees before it were to be used to assist one or more other students.
