Michael M. ('76, '77) and Kathleen Mueller ('78) Thomas Dukes Pay It Forward Scholarship Endowment

An endowed scholarship established by Michael M. (’76, ’77) and Kathleen Mueller (’78) Thomas to support a scholarship for recipients who must be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. The scholarship will be awarded annually to one freshman, one sophomore, one junior and one senior. In any given year, the scholarship amount will be the same for all students who receive the scholarship. The scholarship is renewable from year to year as long as the recipient remains in good academic standing and continues to demonstrate financial need. Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the James Madison University Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships and follow the university’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.

In the future, should the amount available for award each year be able to support more than one student from each class year, then the number and amounts of individual awards will be determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships in direct consultation with the Vice President for Access and Enrollment Management.
