John T. Morello Scholarship Endowment

An endowed scholarship established with an endeavor led by John E. Humphreys (1982, 2002) to honor John T. Morello for his years of dedicated and outstanding service as the James Madison University Director of Forensics.

This scholarship will provide scholarship support for the James Madison University Debate Team within the School of Communication Studies. To qualify as a Morello Scholar, the recipient must be a full-time degree seeking undergraduate student in good academic standing. This scholarship will be administered at the discretion of the Director of Debate in conjunction with the Director of the School of Communication Studies. Beyond these criteria, the appointment of Morello Scholars will follow the University’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
