Ryburn-Dunn STEM Educators Scholarship Endowment in the College of Education
This endowed scholarship in the College of Education will provide financial resources annually to one or more students who have shown excellence in the classroom and demonstrated a very strong desire to teach. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be enrolled in their final year of their teacher licensure program with a concentration in the STEM areas and a resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. The donor prefers a minimum of $2,000/year be awarded to each scholarship recipient, with awards being made during the year in which the student is student teaching, and rotated annually between STEM disciplines. The selection of Ryburn-Dunn Scholars will be made in a manner determined by the Dean of the College of Education in conjunction with the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
