Lucille Y. Marshall Music Scholarship

An endowed scholarship established in recognition of Lucille Y. Marshall’s seventeen years of service as a teacher and supervisor of instrumental music in Harrisonburg City public schools.

This scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a college education in music at JMU with first preference given to an instrumental major and secondary preference given to a vocal major. In addition, first preference will be given to a Harrisonburg High School student, with secondary preference given to a student from Rockingham County. If there are no students that meet the first or secondary preference, the award shall be given to an instrumental or vocal major at JMU.
