Red Flannel Rag Scholarship Endowment for Students from Hopkins Gap, VA

An endowed scholarship established by Dr. Peggy Ann Shifflett ‘68,’70 to support a scholarship to JMU students from Hopkins Gap, Virginia. Each year, first preference for the award will be given to a deserving undergraduate student from the Hopkins Gap region of Rockingham County, Virginia – a region identified by an address of Hopkins Gap Road or Peak Mountain Road, with a preference given to a student from that region in need of financial assistance, as determined by the University’s Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships. If there is not a student from the above defined region in a given year, the award may be given to an undergraduate student who graduated from Broadway High School in Broadway, Virginia, with a preference given to a student in need of financial assistance, as determined by the University’s Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships.
