Stanley R. (’54) and Rosemary H. Jones STEM Scholarship Fund

An annual scholarship established by Stanley R. (’54) and Rosemary H. Jones.

Through this fund, the Donors intend to provide financial resources annually to one incoming freshman. It is the Donors’ intent for this fund to be used exclusively for student academic scholarships. The appointment of the Jones Scholars will be made each year according to the following criteria: The student will be Honors College eligible, in-state, with financial need, and must be majoring in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Engineering, ISAT, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Geoscience or Biology. Preference will be given to first-generation students and underrepresented students in a qualifying STEM major. The scholarship is renewable for three years as long as the student continues to meet the geographic, financial need, and major criteria and remains in good academic standing. In the event a Jones Scholar becomes ineligible for renewal, a transfer student who meets the remaining criteria may be selected to finish the renewal term.

Jones Scholarship awards will be made at the discretion of the Dean of the College of Science and Math and the Dean of the College of Integrated Science and Engineering, in partnership with the Dean of the Honors College. Beyond these criteria, the selection of the scholarship recipients will follow the University’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.

To be considered for the Stanley R. (’54) and Rosemary H. Jones STEM Scholarship Fund, you must complete the Second Century Scholarship application.
