Helen Sharpes Scholarship Fund

An endowed scholarship established by Mary Ann Grigg in memory of her mother Helen Sharpes, who was an administrative secretary at JMU, to support a scholarship intended to benefit a JMU student from Rockingham County with a minimum GPA of 2.5. The scholarship will be awarded to an entering freshman (but not part of the early action process) and will remain with that student until graduation as long as the selection criteria continues to be met. If at any time the student recipient fails to meet the requirements or when the student graduates, a new entering freshman will be selected based on the established criteria.
