George West Scholarship Endowment

An endowed scholarship established with an endeavor created by the faculty in the School of Music to honor the memory of their colleague Dr. George West, faculty emeritus, for his years of dedicated and outstanding service.

This endowment will provide funds annually for an outstanding undergraduate music student with preference given to a student concentrating in jazz studies. The appointment of a student as a West Scholar will be determined by the Academic Unit Head in the School of Music and approved by the Dean and Associate Dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
