Busey Family Scholarship for the College of Business

An endowed scholarship established by Sam and Carol Busey. To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be an incoming freshman who demonstrates an intention to pursue a major in the College of Business. Once a student is named a Busey Scholar, this scholarship may be renewed for up to three consecutive years if the recipient remains a student within the College of Business and maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. If either stipulation is not met, a new recipient will be selected. Selection of recipients will be made in a manner determined at the discretion of the Dean for the College of Business, based on the following criteria. Recipients must:

- Be in-state students
- Have a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
- Enroll in general Business Administration courses leading to admission to the College of Business.

Beyond the above criteria, the appointment of Busey Scholars shall follow the University’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
