Kahil Family Scholarship Fund

An annual scholarship established by Ali B. Kahil.

To be considered for the scholarship, the student must be an undergraduate in academic good standing and submit a 500-word essay describing an experience overcoming adversity or lived displacement. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. The scholarship will be awarded to no more than one student per year. The scholarship is renewable, subject to the availability of funds, as long as the recipient remains an undergraduate in academic good standing. Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the Director of the Community Engagement and Volunteer Center, in consultation with the Center’s scholarship selection committee, following the University’s guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
