Building the Future Scholarship

Building the Future Scholarship is a 4 year renewable scholarship for incoming undergraduate students who are Virginia residents and qualify for the Federal Pell Grant. This scholarship aims to make JMU an affordable option in combination with other federal, state, and institutional financial aid sources. To qualify for renewal, students must continue to demonstrate financial need every year, remain a Virginia resident, maintain Academic Good Standing as well as meet Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.
